Mental Health First Aid is a nationally recognized public education program that teaches participants how to recognize the signs and symptoms of emerging mental health challenges as well as how to help someone experiencing a mental health crisis. Through a collaborative effort with Talent EVV and the University of Southern Indiana College of Nursing and Health Professions, along with grant funding from the COVID-19 Emergency Funds, we offered 5 classes to local employees at no cost.
Based on data obtained from these initial classes we were awarded additional funding to provide 12 more classes focused on supporting First Responders in the Greater Evansville area. These classes will increase information and understanding of working with individuals experiencing a mental health challenge as well as address the stress and emotional risks of working as a first responder.
Please send us a message if you would like information on upcoming classes or to schedule one onsite at your location.
